MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
VBA operates as a ministry and a "cooperative". This means every family is required to participate in the planning and administration functions of the school and school activities, with the exception of those wishing to register as non-participative. Employing only a limited staff, VBA depends on the efforts of a large volunteer force to facilitate our operations.
We offer three levels of responsibility in serving the membership of VBA:
(Time commitments are approximate)
Time can be served by helping in the office, staffing the study hall, coordinating special events, plus a wide number of other opportunities.
All quarterly meetings are mandatory for ALL families and each family is responsible for any and all information discussed during each meeting. Additionally, each family is required to participate in a minimum of one VBA event per quarter, such as park days, field trips, small group events, etc. Teacher's meetings are for the purpose of facilitating record keeping, sharing information about upcoming events, planning activities and encouraging one another. Five meetings are held annually and are scheduled on Thursday evenings.
Financial Obligations
